Protestors opposing the president of Burkina Faso Blaise Compaores - TopicsExpress

Protestors opposing the president of Burkina Faso Blaise Compaores plan to change the constitution to allow him to run for another term after 27 years in power have set fire to the parliament, the city hall and the party head quarters. After 27 years in power, what else do you have to offer Mr. Blaise? This is the same guy who together with his masters in France conspired to assassinate and kill one of Africas bravest, sharpest and revolutionary leaders Thomas Sankara. Sankara who was Burkina Fasos first leader and who changed its name from upper volta to Burkina Faso which means the land of the upright men. He trusted Blaise as his deputy but he ended up betraying Burkina Faso and having soldiers loyal to him kill Sankara who was not a favourite of France because he was totally against neo-colonialism. Sankara even started to rally African leaders to refuse to pay this huge debts that keep us in the chains of poverty but as usual, some leaders could not dare go against their masters. Sankara did and he paid with his life, he couldnt even get a proper burial. There is so much that a people can take and i hope that Blaise even though people like him never want to give up power for fear that the atrocities that they have committed while in power will come to haunt them, will know that his time is up and leave office to prevent the country from sinking into further violence. I hope that this time Burkina Faso will have a leader that they have elected and will not allow France to install another of their puppet for them. The land of the upright people will stand strong. Long live Burkina Faso, Long live Thomas Sankara, Long live Africa. #AfricaHasRisen youtube/watch?v=J5USbA701SI
