Protests continue in Kashmir against Gaza bloodbath... Srinagar, July 14: Hundreds of students from various educational institutions Monday staged protest demonstrations at Press Enclave here to express solidarity with the people of Gaza. The students later on assembled at the Ghanta Ghar [clock tower] in the heart of summer capital Srinagar and raised slogans like Gaza Ke Mujahidoon Hum Tumhare Saath Hai (O Warriors of Gaza, we are with you). They urged the Muslim countries to get united to save innocent lives in Gaza. Jews are committing genocide of Muslims in Gaza because Muslim countries are silent,” said Mohammad Owais, a student. “We urge all Muslim countries to get united and carry joint bombardment of Israel. At the time of filing of this report the students, chanting pro-Palestine and anti-Israel slogans, were proceeding towards the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Srinagar. Members of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) led by Abdul Qayoon Wani, activists of CPI (M) and civil society members also held protest demonstrations in the city. They demanded an end to innocent killings in Gaza. Dozens of journalists in Anantnag also held a protest march against isareli aggression. The protesters were carrying placards with emotional appeals for help. ‘Damn Israel, Save Gaza; Stop Israeli terror,’ read some of the messages.
