Proven Wealth Limited is looking for a suitably qualified candidate to fill the position of: Accounting Officer The successful candidate will be a team player with strong knowledge of the Finance Industry. Candidate must have the ability to apply Principles of Accounting to assist in the preparation of monthly Financial Statements, Reconciliation of Accounts and Accounts Schedules while conforming to the Standard Operational Procedures. Core Functions Prepare bank reconciliation and journal entries for the Group of Companies. Prepare accounting schedules for investment portfolio at the end of each month. Prepare accounting schedules and verify receivables and payables at the end of each month. Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, while monitoring the relevant intercompany accounts for all Companies. Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and ensure submission to the relevant regulatory bodies by the stipulated deadline. Prepare and ensure the timely submission of GCT returns to the regulatory bodies. Provide information, operations and administrative support to the Senior Accountant. Assist in the accounting and finance functions of the Group of Companies. Assist in the internal and external audit process of the Group of Companies. The preferred minimum qualifications/ skills are:- A Bachelors Degree in Accounting and/or two to three years accounting experience with successful completion of ACCA level II. Excellent financial and accounting practices with highly developed time management and decision making skills. The ability to adhere to the policies and procedures within the Standard Operating Guidelines. Capable of ensuring accounting accuracy and attention to details. Knowledge of spreadsheet applications and finance and accounting principles. Requires willingness to work with a flexible schedule.
