Proverbs 1 vs 22 & 23 = How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour my spirit upon you, I will make known my ways.= I wanted to talk about the importance of us losing our mind and taking on the mind of Christ. Every problem we encounter is nothing more than a wisdom problem. When we were of the world we had worldly knowledge and thought we were in control of things. We often believed it was us and our own might that changed things. We were proud people not wanting to be told things are how to do things because we thought we knew what was best. Once you become saved something on the inside of you should trigger a desire to do things God`s ways. Before this happened every man was smart in his own mind, our ways seemed right. I want to tell you every man does ignorant things until he comes into the knowledge of God it is just a matter of being able to realize it. God`s ways are not our ways, they are very different. At some point we should humble ourselves and submit to his word and allow it to lead and guide us. Our ways lead to death and destruction but God`s ways lead to life and prosperity. Never think more highly of yourself than you ought, when you do you most surely are about to take a severe fall. Wisdom is something we must ask and seek for it does not just happen. You need to apply yourself to it. If just hearing it would do the job their would be no profit for obedience or no penalty for disobedience. It is important to be humble, a humble man is one that can be taught. Those that are proud are smart in their own eyes and have no need for you to teach them anything. If there is one thing God despises or hates it is a person that is walking in pride, thinking themselves to be self sufficient. He will allow them to think that and let the devil lead them into a snare. God often allows us to stumble so that we will come and humble ourselves before him to get direction. It is when you seek him with your whole heart and ask he will pour out the spirit od wisdom unto you. To everyone that ask he gives it liberally. Once you receive it you must apply it. You can go to church a lifetime, or read the word a lifetime, but until you apply it, these things will profit you little. When you grab hold on wisdom and apply it God will open the eyes of your understanding and what was hid can now be seen. Wisdom can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Once you obtain it you must have a change of mindset. If you embrace it she will promote you and bring you before kings or powers. If you refuse it then you are likened to a fool. The beautiful thing is he gives us a choice. You can take it or leave it. I challenge each Christian, you need wisdom, it`s the principle thing. You can not walk in God`s ways without it. We need our mindset to be changed into his mindset. Embrace it today, go after it in all you do. Then you will be successful. Your ways are not his ways.
