Proverbs 13:12- Hope deferred makes the heart sick When something is deferred it means to be postponed or held back for a time or season. Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen - Hebrews 11:1 So then the substance of faith that is deferred makes the heart sick.. The longing for the promise to be given is what makes the heart go into a depression or sorrow But God made the promise- Jesus said that if you ask anything in his name then he will do it He also said whatsoever you desire when you pray that it shall be done. So then the question is not wheter or not God is able to do it. You must know that he has worked miracles before. God has a long track record of fulfilling everyone of his promises. He is faithful to do what he said he will do. James 4:2-3 says- You have not because you ask not. And you ask and recieve not because you ask amiss that you may consume it upon your own lust You must ask yourself the question? Will I be faithful to God with what he gives me? If God answers your request are you going to honor him with it and do things for his glory or are you going to fulfill the desires of your flesh and do things displeasing to him. Will you remember God when he blesses you... that is the question that you must ponder on. The bible says in Psalms 84:11 - No good thing will God withold from them who walk up rightly All good and perfect gifts come from God according to James So then when you petition the throne of God knowing that God is not a man that he should lie neither the son of man that he should repent. You must know that GOD will answer your prayers and he will do the things he has promised you that he will do.
