Proverbs 16:2 All a persons ways seem pure to them, but motives - TopicsExpress

Proverbs 16:2 All a persons ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the LORD. Proverbs 21:2 A person may think their own ways are right, but the LORD weighs the heart. We are told in Jeremiah that our hearts are deceitful above all else...... Jerimiah 17:9-10- The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately wicked; Who can understand it? 10I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give to each man according to his ways, According to the results of his deeds.… So, how can we trust our heart??? What should be our hearts desires?? We are to love Him with all our heart, soul, and mind. Deuteronomy 6:5-7 5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Most of us arent taught that the New Covenant still consists of all of Gods Laws, that is usually left out of Christian churches and instead man made teachings and doctrines are inserted in place of Gods laws. The prophecy of the New Covenant is very clear though and plainly speaks of what will be involved in this New Covenant. Jeremiah 31:33- .This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the Lord. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. And this is the prophecy of the NEW SPIRIT that God is going to give us.....and once again, He makes it very clear what this Holy Spirit will lead us to and CAUSE us to do....lets read. Ezekiel 36:25-28 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my laws, and ye shall keep my ordinances, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. So, in the OT they also were commanded to fashion their hearts after loving Gods laws and worshipping Him in His way, not their own ways........and the same is true for the New Covenant as well. We are to set our hearts on Him and what He wants. Deuteronomy 12:30 Do not worship the LORD your God in the way these pagan peoples worship their gods. Deuteronomy 16:21-22 You shall not plant for yourself an Asherah of any kind of tree BESIDE the altar of the LORD your God, which you shall make for yourself. 22You shall not set up for yourself a sacred pillar which the LORD your God hates. Matthew 15:7-9 You hypocrites, rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you: 8THIS PEOPLE HONORS ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR AWAY FROM ME. 9BUT IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME, TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE TRADITIONS OF MEN. We are called to worship Him in Spirit and Truth. And not just any truth or our version of truth, but His truth......His TRUTH IS THE WORD. John 4:23-25 But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. 24God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. 25The woman said to Him, I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us.… Psalm 145:18- The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. So with all of that being said you have a decision to make. It is not of importance for me or anyone else to know what that decision is. You continue to lust after the way that the pagans worshipped their gods which YAHWEH hates and commands us not to follow their ways or inquire how they worshipped their gods. Or.....you seek His feasts and Holydays which celebrate HIS SON, the one you claim to love with all your heart. The decision wasnt hard for us, but coming out of the worlds traditions was very hard. But not impossible for sure. My relationship with Him is much more important than any Holy(i)day that man has to offer and especially one that was especially set up for a false god which we stamped as Christian. If you do not heed the Fathers commands then that is between you and Him. I have to share the truth in love, though. Shalom!!
