Proverbs 2:6 KJV For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. And thats the truth. Do we listen though? The Holy Spirit speaks through Gods word, and just because Im saved doesnt mean Im listening. If I live after the flesh I will do the deeds of the flesh. Its OK to admit that Im totally and completely saved and kept by grace plus nothing thats exactly what Christ died for and rose again for, But quench & grieve the Spirit, like a child to a parent because we know better than God. Thats exactly the motive living after the flesh Romans 8:12-13 KJV Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. It doesnt have to be a physical death, you or I can die to the Spiritual things of God, and will not hear through Gods word what comes out of the Lords mouth. Heres Paul who penned what the Lord told him to to the saints at Colosse. All scripture is given by inspiration of God. So we know its true, and the Lord knew and knows far more than Paul or any man and instructs the saints by wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Colossians 1:9 KJV For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; Spending time with the Lord does not show how spiritual I am it does show and reveal my wretchedness and His holiness my sin His grace my need His supply, and far too many other differences to list. Just think if Jesus didnt humble himself Noone could ever get to God, we have nothing in common. But God was manifest in the flesh, and now we have the redeemer, the mediator, the intercessor, the propitiation so we can, those that are saved listen to wisdom, knowledge, and understanding the Lord gives out of his mouth. Will we listen though?
