Proverbs 26:15-16 The sluggard plunges his hand in the dish; he is too lazy to bring it back to his mouth. The sluggard is wiser in his own estimation than seven people who respond with good sense. Laziness has become elusive in our culture today. At a glance I think, “How could anyone be lazy, everyone is always so busy!” Unfortunately, I tend to forget that being busy is a great place for lazy to hide. Jesus knew this, because He said of false prophets, “By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thronbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.” (Matthew 7:16-17) Laziness can be at the helm of the busiest of people, but rest assured you will know it by its fruit. Also of note, rest is not the same thing as lazy. Laziness is a spiritual attack. It is an apathy that is never quenched for no good reason. Rest is from the Lord! “Come all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”. (Matthew 11:28). Amen. ~Sylvia ❤😘🙏
