Proverbs 27:9 Oil and perfume make the heart glad, So a man’s counsel is sweet to his friend. I like to tie this in with: Proverbs 24:6 And in abundance of counselors there is victory. Nobody ever really wakes up in the morning and says: I think Im going to make a bad decision on purpose lol totally mess up my life!! :) No, we make bad decisions largely in part because of the information we have received (or lack thereof), taking advice from people who dont have results you want or NOT taking advice from people who do or taking counsel from a friend or group of friends that have certain areas of your life figure out and mastered. use ago I had many friends that were truly friends the more or less drinking buddies or using buddies but the core relationshipwas more or less superficial or built on layers we had all built up so there wasnt truly any sense is sincere and true friendship or trust and the thought of counseling or seeking or taking counsel just didnt exist therefore I made some decisions based on poor judgement and lack of wisdom as we all have. What if we all broke down and through the false layers we have built up: the layers of defense, lack of trust, hurt or unforgiveness etc. and started to do develop true sincere relationships to help build each other up to help each other over come to no longer be victims of our past but rather victors for the future? what if we could inspire each other to dream? To accomplish what we had our selves never thought we could? What if we all were willing to learn what we dont know; to seek truth and take council from people who have success and results in areas of their lives that we might not? What if we could all see to improve ourselves individually and as a community unite to truly be the difference we want to see in the world? What if?..... One snowflake will never stop traffic, but a bunch of them together can shut down the interstate! We can accomplish way more impact way more lives as a community and as a team then we ever could by ourselves!
