Proverbs 29:18 – “Where there is no revelation, the people - TopicsExpress

Proverbs 29:18 – “Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the law.” (NIV) If you read this verse in the King James’ Version, the word “revelation” is translated as vision. It is this spiritual understanding that comes as a part of the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of each believer. We receive clarity as we read God’s Word, giving us a clear view of God’s will and His standards for our lives. This is one of the reasons we must continue to read, study and meditate upon each verse in our Bible--so we don’t lose our convictions, our clear conscience, and moral restraints. And, as the verse continues, to obey God is to be blessed! As we continue to read in Proverbs 30:5, “Every word of God is flawless…” You can trust Him and His will for your life! He will never lead you astray nor forsake you. Trust Him today! Charlie Brown - Pastoral Care
