Proverbs 8:17 - I love them that love me; and those that seek me - TopicsExpress

Proverbs 8:17 - I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Some people are wondering why things are not all good and well in nature with them. They wonder why it seems more bad things happen to them. Some even say they go to church or believe in God, but yet cannot get closer to Him. Well, the answer is actually simple! You may say, “Easy for you to say Minister Gandy, you’ve been going to church since you were a baby and didn’t know you were even there.” Well, being at church alone is no sign that one is saved. One can be there their whole life and still bust hell wide open (as the old people would say). In fact, we must forget old traditions and customs that have been set for many years and read about the Lord for ourselves, and ask Him to interrupt it for us. Much of His word is actually common sense. If this were a sermon I would call it, “SEARCHING FOR GOD IS LIKE A FISH IN THE OCEAN SEARCHING FOR WATER!” Certain fish jump from the water but they must always return in order to live. All mankind are born to live in God, many ppl do not realize that they need the Living Waters. Sometimes those in the God’s waters fail to realize that He MUST be number one in their lives in order to get closer. Remember bad things and good things happened to ALL people, so don’t feel you’re a stranger to misery, but because some do not make God number one in their lives; trouble seems to be larger to them. Our beautiful children can’t be number one in our lives, God must be. Your man can’t be number one, or your girl, or your parents, or your hobby, or music, or your career, or fabulous home, or your fine car, or your choir, or your church, nor your pastor or anything; God must be number one! Jeremiah 29:13 tells us that we can find God when we search for Him with our whole hearts. People search for God in books, online, in others, when there is no need to do that; God is already there for you! Calm yourself; relax yourself, mediate and breathe in Him. Sometimes in order to find Him we need to leave the other fish and have an earnest prayer with Him. A real one on one in a quiet place, and give it all to Him. We need to wait on Him for an answer. We need to peel the world off and put on Jesus. We need to fight the evil one when he comes upon us, resist arguing, resist foolishness, leave our past sins behind, put on more HUMBLENESS, put on more TRUST, put on more BELIEF, put on more KINDNESS, put on more GIVING, put on more LOVE, put on more JESUS! Don’t let things get you down! Most importantly you don’t have to go looking for God, He’s already right there with you. And He’s free for the taking, swim (walk) in Him, bless you all! Acts 17:27 - That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: Matthew 7:7 - Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: John 17:17 - Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
