Ps. 138:7 “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will stretch out against the wrath of mine enemies, and Your right hand will save me. (God is most real in our lives not when everything is going great but when we are in the midst of trouble. That is the place God can express who He is and His work that David says is reviving. The joy we felt in first trusting Christ as Saviour is seen in the midst of the storm that leads us to trust Him again as we did to save us. The trouble David describes is the opposition of those who rose against Him not in just in disagreement but wrath. There are those who oppose God’s word and even hostile to it if they are godless. They use intimidation and in the David’s time force. Much like preparing a table in the midst of our enemies God’s power and confidence He grants us is there. God stretching out His right hand was acknowledgment of His power and might to do right by those who trust in Him. The hand of God being on us is His blessing, protection and extra strength He gives us. Have you experienced His hand on you? Oh, may we all know it and trust in it to bring us through the midst of trouble and into the peace of all that God can give.)
