Ps. Matts Journal. Adrenilane for your soul! Keep your eyes - TopicsExpress

Ps. Matts Journal. Adrenilane for your soul! Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls! Hebrews 12:2-3 I love it how in our daily readings the Old Testament & the New Testament often compliment each other. I love how our focus in journaling is on reading the whole word, to get the whole counsel of God. I started reading the doom & gloom in Isaiah. And sometimes you need to fully understand the bad news before you can appreciate the good news. Isaiah 24:5 says, Earth is polluted by its very own people, who have broken its laws, disrupted its order, violated the sacred and eternal covenant. Therefore a curse, like a cancer, ravages the earth. Then Isaiah says, this in Isaiah 24:14 But there are some who will break into glad song. Out of the west they’ll shout of GOD’s majesty. Yes, from the east GOD’s glory will ascend. Every island of the sea will broadcast GOD’s fame, the fame of the God of Israel. From the four winds and the seven seas we hear the singing: “All praise to the Righteous One!” So basically the world is a mess, but God is on the throne, and every island will Broadcast God’s fame! The Message version here uses a common media term, broadcast. Which means, “to scatter seed widely.” That’s our job. To scatter the seed of God’s word, and some water, some harvest, and this will produce fruit! So the message from Isaiah shares this bad news then the good news, but then in Hebrews it’s awesome news!!! A great reminder to keep our eyes on Jesus. To Study how he began & finished his race. We must remember that he finished the race! We believe in the finished work of Christ on the Cross! He said, “It is finished!” So we walk with his victory now, he won the victory. So we don’t pray to get victory, we thank him, & live in his victory! Then it says, “When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!” Hebrews 12:3 Too many Christians finish before the finish line. But we must set our eyes on the prize & never give up until we’ve completed what God has set before us. God’s word is like a shot of adrenilane, and with the Holy Spirit we can finish the race we’ve begun! Lord thank you for your Awesome news! Use me to Broadcast it, live it, and walk in it, until the finish line! In Jesus name, Amen!
