Psalm 103:1-6 A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name. 2Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits; 3Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases;…4Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;…Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.… I have no doubt that there are some that believe me crazy, but I am ok with that. I would rather be considered crazy for Jesus that considered sane for Satan! It amazes me how God works. How he uses every word, event, every encounter, every thought, every situation to not only teach us, but to love us. When I get up in the mornings and I start my day. I wonder what my father has in store for me today. There is nothing more gratifying than spending time with God. God lead me to this scripture today. As I was reading it, the only thing I could think and feel was the love and gratitude for his word and direction. My husband and I was visiting family while watching the UT game on Saturday. We were talking about Jesus and how he reaches down grabs us. My husband said that he gently and lovingly nudged him toward him. Well, he dealt with me a little differently. God reached down to the pit and grabbed me. I heard him say, THIS ONE IS MINE! This scripture says, (Psalm 103: ) 4Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;…Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.… Now, keep in mind, I had NEVER read this scripture before! And I mean never! MY REDEEMER IS HE! You see, this scripture is what Jesus did for me. He heals our diseases! Yes my friends he does and did. He delivered me from the disease of addiction! He delivered me from the diseased mind, the diseased body, He recovers his children from their decays! Fills them with new life and joy, which is eternal life and joy, to return to the days of youth, (Job 33:25....25Let his flesh become fresher than in youth, Let him return to the days of his youthful vigor; )... I know this to be true! It is true not just because he did it for Job. God not only transformed me from the inside, but he transformed me on the outside. Those of you that knew me before. KNOW THIS IS TRUE! Wow!!! I mean WOW!! Thank you Jesus!! I am so grateful for the pardon of my sin! Not just some or a few...but a pardon for ALL! And he restored us to his favor! Let me just tell you right now. There is nothing, nor will they ever be, anything better then the favor of Heavenly Father. He alone forgives all our sins; it is he alone who heals all our infirmities!! The more I meditate on this scripture, the more God reveals and brings things together. Sunday, our evening service was on the book of Matthew, Compassion for the Sinner Jesus had compassion for sinners. This scripture says, He crowns us with lovingkindness and compassion. and all that is within me... God is to be served with the best we have; as with the best o f our substance, so with the best of our persons; it would be shameful to offer him anything less than the utmost of everything (- intellect, emotion, feeling, sentiment - brain, heart, lungs, tongue, etc) we can render. Jesus told me on Sunday and confirmed it today, that this is what he gave me.. When he reached out and pulled me out of the pit, He crowns us with lovingkindness and compassion. He showed me mercy, COMPASSION! He told me today, that he deserves no less than me showing compassion for others. Thank you Jesus for bringing this all together for me! How perfect is our father! To take words from over the weekend, Sunday worship service, and an random scripture that you put in front me, to teach me how to better serve, worship, and honor you! Precious Lord Jesus, we love you. Thank You that Your grace is sufficient for us. Thank You for being a God that heals and can restore any brokenness in our lives. You are loving and compassionate. You are a defender of the weak, and a father to the fatherless. Father some of those reading this really need to feel your love and compassion. So they cry out to you saying, Daddy, I love you. I need you to help me and you hear my plea. Thank you for delighting in me, your child. Thank you that though I am small like a sparrow, you watch over my every step and you care about the details of my life. Help me to be more compassion to others. Help me to trust you and not worry, even in the moments you feel distant, and I cant understand your ways. In Jesus precious name we pray. Amen and Amen.
