Psalm 127: 3-5 Behold, children are a heritage from The Lord; the fruit of the womb, a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of ones youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them. He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate. What a great verse! Love that our little arrows have been aimed, supported, guided, and now that they have been set loose, are filling us with joy for having met the mark. Being home, checking in with each one... Feeling their love/concern over me not feeling well, our safety, and our trip.... Not to mention their ability to work together and handle everything here while we were away.... definitely reminds me of this. It was great to be away... Restful, adventurous, thoughtful, and reflecting. As I was thanking God one day for being so good to my children, really wanting to express my appreciation for His care over them in all situations.... I laughed and asked Him if that was silly.... Me thanking Him for caring for them, who are actually His first, and mine second. But then I thought, This feeling, the feeling of overwhelming appreciation when God blesses and is good to one of my children, must be how He feels when we are good to another person, when we express love and mercy to one of His children. It was an interesting moment for me... Insightful and definitely encouraged me to strive to please Him more by giving Him the feeling that He gives me... The feeling of appreciation and deepest gratitude every day by loving and caring for His children. It was good to be away..... But as the saying goes, There TRULY is no place like home! And Im so, so, so thrilled our arrows have all chosen the same home! :)
