Psalm 16 (A prayer of David) 1. Protect me, God, for the only safety I know is found in the moments I seek You. 2.I told You, Eternal One, “You are my Lord, for the only good I know in this world is found in You alone.” A friend posted this scripture early this week and it caught my eye. Since then Ive been thinking about it all week. I do not know the bible version but I looked up several others and I do like this version the best. It sounds so intimate to me as if David were talking to a lover. Instead he was talking to his God, for the only safety I know is found in the moments I seek You. There have been many great people in the bible like Noah, among his people no fault could be found, Lot who was just and righteous or Solomon full of wisdom but its David, a man after Gods own heart that always stirs a desire in me to seek Gods own heart. Its his intimate relationship, pure, honest, dependant and desperate that I want so much. I want to be a woman after Gods own heart.
