Psalm 32:1-7 Everyone loves the beach! The breeze, the waves, the sand; its a great place to be and in the sand is a very important lesson. One little granule of sand doesnt weigh much at all and you may not even notice it because it is so small. You could carry it around all day and not pay attention to it. If we add one thousand more granules of sand, they may be far easier to see and may even have enough weight that you pay attention to its heaviness. If more and more sand is put on you, it can be enough to lock you down and become a virtual prison from its mass. If we get a good wave or some water, we can wash the sand away. The scripture teaches us that sin is the same way. You may not pay attention to one or two but as the burdens of guilt and shame add up, they can become a prison for your spirit. When you acknowledge your sins, confess to God, repent, and ask for forgiveness God will wash away those sins that hold you down and uplift you. Dont be burdened down. Confess and ask for forgiveness and be washed clean.
