Psalm 33:10-13 The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. The Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men. As we look at this passage of scripture tonight, I know that we read and quote this one verse all the time, but nevertheless the Lord has laid this on my heart again tonight. In verse 12 here David writes that Blessed is the Nation, whose God is the Lord. As we have talked about many times, at one time the God was the Lord of America and America has been blessed!!!!!! Unfortunately though, our nation is steadily moving away from God at an alarming rate. We have passed laws that go against the laws of God, we have compromised our believes and our standards in the name of political correctness, in the name of acceptance. God has called us to take a stand for Him, to be His servants and to proclaim His Holy Word, not to compromise the Truth for a lie. In Isaiah 5:20-23 He tells us, Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink: Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him! Dear friends I dont know about you, but I fear for America. Do you realize that every world power that has ever turned their backs on the Lord God, The Great I Am has been destroyed. America will be no different!!!!!!! As I look around at the world today, it becomes ever apparent to me that instead of turning from God, we should be turning towards Him!!!!!!!! We should be humbling ourselves before Him and falling on our faces before Him and seeking Him to save us!!!!!!!!! Have you ever stopped and really thought about the words of the Pledge of Allegiance? I pledge allegiance to the Flag, of the United States of America, and the the Republic for which it stands, one Nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all. Is this the same republic that it once was? No!!!!!! We have let down our guard and allowed the Republic to be changed from what it was originally intended to be into what we have today. You may ask, Who is we? We are we. Remember the first few words of the Preamble of the Constitution, We The People, of the United States of America. We the people have let it slip away!!!!!!!!! I know that there are many who will disagree, but remember what George Washington said, It is impossible to rightly govern a Nation without God and the Bible. John F. Kennedy said that This country cannot afford to be materially rich and spiritually poor. you know, now we are seeing that come to pass and John F. Kennedy was correct!!!!!!!!! Theodore Roosevelt said that A thorough knowledge of the bible is worth more than a college education. Amazing that a president would make any of these statements isnt it? Since we have so many claiming the separation of Church and State. But Ronald Reagan said that The Constitution was never meant to prevent people from praying; its declared purpose was to protect their freedom to pray. Nowhere does the Constitution say the Separation of Church and State. It simply says that Congress shall not establish any one religion. Our founding fathers intended for us to be a Godly Christian Nation. Thats why this Nation was born to begin with!!!!!!!! Abraham Lincoln said, America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms,it will be because we destroyed ourselves. Think about that statement for a while. Certain parts of the government are attempting to take more and more rights away from us everyday!!!!!!!! We are destroying ourselves, are we not? In Joel 2 He says to sound an alarm in the church, thats what I am doing, but are we listening? 2 Chronicles 7:14 gives us the answer, but are we willing to out ourselves aside and sacrifice some of ourselves for the greater good? Are we willing to seek God and return America to Him? It has to be us, We The People, that do it. The government is not going to, its up to us the children of God!!!!!!!! Think about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
