Psalm 33:8—“Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.” Psalm 33:18—“Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy:” Psalm 34:2—“My soul shall make her boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.” Psalm 34:11—“Come, ye children, hearken unto me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.” God delights in the person who seeks to fear Him. We are to stand in awe, in reverence, of God. Look at what God has done in your life, look at how many things He has provided for you. How often have you asked God to give you one more day to live? How often have you asked God to make it sunny or rainy? God does those things for us even though we haven’t asked Him to. When we look out a window we should be amazed at what God can and did do for us. He gave us this earth to call our own, and He gave us the means to take care of it. We need to thank God for the little things, the things we take for granted, because God put them there just for us. We need to fear Him, we need to declare Him to others. May God put His fear in our hearts, and help us to share it with others.
