Psalm 34:1-2 “I will” is mentioned 3 times in 2 verses. Significant because it emphasis that it takes effort on our part to give praise. Giving praise when things are not going our way, pace and place and with whom we want, does not come natural. When we come to an understanding that when we reach rock bottom, He is the rock at the bottom of that dark pit that we feel we have gotten ourselves stuck in and got covered with a whole bunch of slime and distasteful and uncomfortable “stuff”. If we allow Him, He will clean the mess of us that has covered you and held us back from walking into our destiny, restoration of our fortunes, lifted us from the mire, sustain and make our steps as sure footed as the deer. At the proper time, He will lift us up. Humble ourselves before Him and His mighty hand will lift us up in due season. Once we get in the and stay in the mode of genuine, heartfelt praise on a daily basis for everything, good and bad, we learn the heart of God and be more open to be attentive and responsive to His voice and the prompting of His Spirit. The “good” in our lives reminds us of His Promises and His unfailing love, the “bad” lets us recognize that in order for us to grow and mature, we have to go through some “stuff”. It also make us realize that His grace is always sufficient, His strength is what we rely on because it is always reliable, stronger than ours and Almighty and His Word revives us, give us hope, direction and is the best food for our souls. Instead of speaking negatively about your situation about our situation or about somebody else, try speaking praise i.e identify some ting that you can genuinely appreciate and admire and spoken often of it or them. The less we talk negatively about our circumstance, speak and repeat His Word, declare purpose and be clear in God’s plan for our lives, reassurance of our future and confidence in our hope in Him; then we will see changes in our circumstance. These changes will start on the inside of us, let us be transformed daily by the renewing of our minds and attitudes by the Spirit. Yesterday’s glory is not enough for today’s new and refreshing mercies. In other words, the euphoria after yesterday’s victories is not enough to carry us through today’s battles and as such we need a continuous injection of power from our power source before we operate on fumes and eventually dry up and be ineffective. Do not rush into change but let the Sprint prompt you. The more time we spend in His presence, the more we will develop a deep and intimate relationship with the Lord. As we grow in the relationship with Him and improve our love walk, we will experience how easy it is to say “I love you Lord” for no reason at all with spontaneity. This comes as He pours His love into our hearts in our alone times with Him, through our consistently speaking His praises day and night. Speak out loud “Lord, thank you for a sound mind, Your perfect peace, for people around that show me genuine love and care. Thank you Lord, for just loving me with all my faults and stumbling and show me to love the way You do and live the life that You want to be lived in and through You.” These utterances may seem strange and out of character for our circumstance but if He did in the past ,He will do it again. We have to remind ourselves of that truth repeatedly when the dark clouds of frustration, self doubt and despair try to overwhelm us and leave us paralyzed, spiritually and emotionally and forgetful of the joy of the Lord. Believe that the storm is over, that you can make it and He is about to clothe you in festive praise. He will never leave you or forsake you and when the troubled water would want to drown us, he will establish us high upon on rock and save us from destruction. He will hide us in the valley, protect from the rain and buffet us from and during the storm. When you think that are about to lose your mind, occupy and fill your thoughts with His Word, chew on it as many times as possible for proper digestion in our spiritual stomach: He will keep you in perfect peace. Trust Him, hang on in there, it is going to get better. Things are going to work out for your good. Lean on Him and wait patiently on Him. Like· Comment· Share
