Psalm 37:7 (KJV) Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: - TopicsExpress

Psalm 37:7 (KJV) Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Faith often requires waiting patiently before God and being prepared to wait for His seeming delays in answering prayer. Faith does not grow disheartened because prayer is not immediately answered. It takes God at His word and lets Him take what time He chooses in fulfilling His purposes and in carrying out His work. There is bound to be some delays and long days of waiting for true faith, but faith accepts the conditions. It knows there will be delays in answering prayer and regards such delays as times of testing where it is privileged to show that it is made of courage and perseverance. (E. M. Bounds) ~md~ Dear God, please help me to wait patiently for You answers to my prayers. Thank You that because of my faith in You, I will not grow disheartened. Amen.
