Psalm 39:4. Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered—how fleeting my life is. With both our Mothers now under hospice care, one in Texas and one here locally- Its difficult at times to go on with life as usual. Because for us, at this stage of our lives...this is the new normal. Not originally, but since the fall....these bodies were created to wear out so we can put on our new heavenly bodies. Bobs Mom is in the last stages of Alzheimers and my Mom stays in constant pain from Osteoporosis and compression fractures and has to stay heavily medicated to endure the pain. So all we really do now, is pray and wait and tie up the loose ends down here to make the transition, from Earth to Heaven as smooth as possible. God has already prerecorded the number of their days (regardless of Vitas predictions) here on earth...but wont it be grand when they both, although missed, will put on their new bodies and finally get to see Jesus face to face. No more suffering, heart ache, pain or loss of memory. Revelation 21:42 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.
