Psalm 46:1-2 God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help - TopicsExpress

Psalm 46:1-2 God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. 2 So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Right now I have a gospel song playing in the background as I type. It is a song by Joshua Rodgers called We Expect You. The song is about looking for the return of Christ at any time with praises ringing as we await. Are there others who anticipate his return at any moment? (Luke 12:35-38 “Be dressed for service and keep your lamps burning, 36 as though you were waiting for your master to return from the wedding feast. Then you will be ready to open the door and let him in the moment he arrives and knocks. 37 The servants who are ready and waiting for his return will be rewarded. I tell you the truth, he himself will seat them, put on an apron, and serve them as they sit and eat! 38 He may come in the middle of the night or just before dawn. But whenever he comes, he will reward the servants who are ready.) We are not to fear the things that we see in the world right now. We have God as our refuge and strength. He is always ready to help in times of trouble. What are we to do during these perilous times? Be ready and waiting to open the door when He arrives and knocks. Those who are ready will be rewarded upon his return. Let us not remain idle. We are to continue to be about our Fathers business.
