Psalms 37:24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. Matthew 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. Matthew 6:23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! A child of God is afraid of incurring his displeasure. This grace usually appears most in believers when in darkness, when other graces appear not. Those that truly fear God, obey the voice of Christ. A sincere servant of God may for a long time be without views of eternal happiness. What is likely to be an effectual cure in this sad case? Let him trust in the name of the Lord; and let him stay himself upon the promises of the covenant, and build his hopes on them. Let him trust in Christ, trust in that name of his, The Lord our Righteousness; stay himself upon God as his God, in and through a Mediator. Presuming sinners are warned not to trust in themselves. Their own merit and sufficiency are light and heat to them. Creature-comforts are as sparks, short-lived, and soon gone; yet the children of this world, while they last, seek to warm themselves by them, and walk with pride and pleasure in the light of them. Those that make the world their comfort, and their own righteousness their confidence, will certainly meet with bitterness in the end. A godly mans way may be dark, but his end shall be peace and everlasting light. A wicked mans way may be pleasant, but his end and abode for ever will be utter darkness. The blessing of God is the spring, sweetness, and security of all earthly enjoyments. And if we are sure of this, we are sure not to want any thing good for us in this world. By his grace and Holy Spirit, he directs the thoughts, affections, and designs of good men. Those truly penitent for sin, will see great reason to be patient under affliction. When we complain to the Lord of the badness of the times, we ought to complain against ourselves for the badness of our hearts. We must depend upon God to work deliverance for us in due time. We must not only look to him, but look for him.\\ The worldly man is wrong in his first principle; therefore all his reasonings and actions therefrom must be wrong. It is equally to be applied to false religion; that which is deemed light is thick darkness. This is an awful, but a common case; we should therefore carefully examine our leading principles by the word of God, with earnest prayer for the teaching of his Spirit. A man may do some service to two masters, but he can devote himself to the service of no more than one. God requires the whole heart, and will not share it with the world. When two masters oppose each other, no man can serve both. He who holds to the world and loves it, must despise God; he who loves God, must give up the friendship of the world. PRAY For lost Family and Friends who have turned away from God or are not Saved. Our time on earth is so short. We know not the hour in which He comes. Please accept JESUS CHRIST as your Savior and Repent of your Sins. Fall on your face before a Loving and Graceful Father. (Please, Stop thinking you are better then GOD. Stop thinking this world has more to offer then God does). Please do not wait, you know not the hour. If you stepped away from God and went to the World to look for pleasures. What is more important the things of God or things of this world? Just remember the things of this world will wither away. The only Pleasures to find is in Gods Word and living for Him. Living in this sinful world is not what God wants for you. God never wanted us to sleep with the devil. Just remember you will have to face God for all you have done and give account for your actions. I was reading that so many Christians that turned their lives over to God, and then went back into the world, All of their things before God will be burnt up. Wow, When I Heard that I was heart broken, I started to Cry. So is this sinful world worth it? please, I can show You how to accept Jesus Christ as your LORD AND SAVIOR right now.
