Public Affairs staff at Mayo Clinic lost a wonderful friend on Jan 3 with the passing of Jenna Vancura (Langer), age 28. While Jenna was a patient at Mayo for many years she was also an accomplished PR professional, and many of us considered her a colleague. Never letting her illness define her, Jenna focused on what she could do to raise awareness about cancer and the need to fund research. She was always available for media interviews and was willing to share her story with candor, a self-deprecating sense of humor and that beautiful smile. We miss her already. bit.ly/145PZqN
