Public Notice from our city: First of three fall citywide community cleanup events planned for Saturday, Sept. 20 Residents invited to recycle and dispose of large items such as furniture, mattresses and appliances SAINT PAUL – The first of three citywide community cleanup events planned for this fall will be held Saturday, Sept. 20 from 8 a.m.–1 p.m. at the State Fairgrounds. Part of the City’s “All In” recycling program, the citywide cleanup events enable residents to properly dispose of large refuse items, recycle materials not collected in the curbside program and share usable goods with others. “This is another opportunity for residents to join us in going ‘all in’ to help make Saint Paul one of the most sustainable cities in the country,” Mayor Chris Coleman said. “We are committed to recycling and reusing as much of the materials collected as possible and believe these events help to inspire a better, more inclusive recycling program in Saint Paul.” Tires, appliances, scrap metal and electronics are all recycled, and bikes collected at the event are restored and returned to the road for re-use. Furthermore, the City supports a monitored re-use area for residents to share usable household items with others. Residents are invited to attend the cleanup events to recycle and dispose of large items such as: FurnitureConstruction materialsMattresses/box springsAppliancesElectronicsScrap metalAnd more The “All In,” program officially began in early April.
