Public Private Partnership in Health strengthens the Tanzanian health system The Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Hon. Dr. Seif Rashidi (MP), officially launched the Tanzania Public Private Health Forum (PPHF) last week in Dar es Salaam. The PPHF, which was established with significant support of the German Development Cooperation, brings together public and private health stakeholders, who will work as a team to achieve the aim of providing accessible and affordable quality healthcare for all Tanzanians. The contribution of private healthcare providers is indispensable to achieving this aim, but an even closer cooperation of both private and public sectors is needed to further strengthen the Tanzanian health system. The public-private initiatives mission is to foster understanding of the private sectors role and establish partnerships in health, which will be for the benefit of all Tanzanian citizens.
