Public Service Announcement: Please dont ever go pull an animal from the shelter to save it, then start sending messages to rescue people about the animal you saved but cant and had no intention of keeping, vetting and providing a home for. If you saw it on their website or Facebook page it was highly adoptable. What you dont know there are many sick, injured, too far pregnant, or ancient animals there that are not in a state to be adopted, needing rescue. Those are animals shelters are reaching out for Rescue help. Your good intentions with that unvaccinated animal may be spreading disease and death to the general population right now or snatched it right out of a forever home. If you want to help either adopt forever planning to adopt it. Be a responsible caretaker and keep it or volunteer for a rescue who actually has a system, plan and finances to do things the right way. This PSA was paid for by my sanity at the cost of receiving no less than 3-10 messages/emails on a rescued dog or cat needing my help to rescue it after it was rescued.
