Public Space (dir: Marcantonio Lunardi, dir. photography: Ilaria Sabbatini, music: Tania Giannouli) in St-Petersburg, LUDA gallery - Cyberfest - Russian 14 of November 19.00 LUDA Gallery is an independent noncommercial art project initiated by Russian artist and curator Peter Belyi in 2007. It existed for one year and during that time the gallery had worked in the non-stop. Exhibitions opened every Friday. LUDA showed mostly local artists, a bit wildly but always newly. Its practice outlined “art map” of St. Petersburg artistic community. Nowadays LUDA came back and makes exhibitions more meaningful in a conceptual sense. It saves its energy but exhibits art mostly from other cities and countries, generally, which we cannot find in St. Petersburg. LUDA Gallery has several exhibition directions: archive projects (exhibitions of artistic archives), educational projects (exhibitions curated by Art graduates), curatorial projects (exhibitions made by invited curators), and so-called “branded” projects (exhibitions by Peter Belyi)
