Public Statement Regarding Harassments and Threats It has been brought to my attention that some of our families have been threatened through emails, memes, notes, and packages delivered to inboxes, homes, and on cars. I and the Realm of Caring are taking this very seriously, and we will not allow our families to be harassed or threatened. We will not allow children to be threatened. Police reports have been filed and potential suspects identified. Any prosecution will be resolute and swift. If you have been targeted or harassed in any way, report the incident to the Colorado Springs Police Department or the appropriate law enforcement agency within your jurisdiction. I also hope that you will contact me personally, so that I can help in any way possible. Even if the incident seems minor, report it. Many of the potential suspects already have criminal backgrounds or a legal history of violence. Also, keep all evidence of the incidents (emails, texts, papers, packages, etc). Any relevant information may be useful to the detectives, and will help them stop these offenses against you, your loved ones, and other families. In summary, it is important to: Take this seriously. A seemingly innocuous threat is still a threat. Take action. Contact the police if you are a victim and file a Suspicious Circumstances Report (or the equivalent in your area) Provide them with background information State that you are a part of the Realm of Caring, so they can correlate similar events as needed. Make a paper trail. Save the notes, emails, packages, etc. Something documented in the past is easier to resolve in the future. Update the police on any new occurrences. Personally, I am appalled we have had to live in fear of seizures, cancer, other ailments, and whether our children or loved ones would live to see another day - only to find our peace and healing disrupted by malicious people attempting to inflict fear in our community. We have been through enough. Together we are stronger, together we are capable of anything; we have proved this time and time again. If you have been threatened, I will make it my personal responsibility to reinstill a feeling of safety and protection. We will not play with these individuals, as they have proven themselves harmful, some with violent backgrounds. We will not live in fear, we will unite as we always have.
