Public appeal after gun powder and ammunition stolen - Carlton Police from St George LAC are appealing for public assistance after the theft of ammunition and gun powder from a basement garage at Carlton. It is believed access was gained to the property on Andover Street between 9pm on Wednesday 24 July 2013 and 7am on Thursday 25 July 2013. A number of items were allegedly stolen including ammunition, gun powder and a motorbike. About 10.30am on Thursday 25 July 2013, police arrested a 30-year-old man at Airds after he was allegedly seen riding the stolen bike. He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with a number of offences including cause unregistered vehicle to be driven on road, negligent driving and drive uninsured vehicle. The man was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on Friday 26 July 2013. Police have urged anyone with information about the incident who has not yet spoken to police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
