The Apocalypse states that one of the heads of the beast is wounded seemingly unto death (Apoc. 13:3). However, that head of the beast recovers and then has his image honored. The heads are kings of Rome (Apoc. 17:9). So, one of the heads of the beast being wounded means that one of the kings of Rome will be wounded. It doesn’t say that the wounding of the king of Rome must be a head shot. The king of Rome is wounded, recovers, deceives the world, and then has his image honored. Does that sound familiar? Yes, because it was Antipope John Paul II. The assertion that John Paul II was the Antichrist also fits precisely with the fact that the Beast, in its full form, rises when five of the kings are fallen (Apoc. 17:10). Not only does the EU (the beast itself) come into existence when five are fallen (during the reign of JP2, the sixth king), but that time (i.e. when five are fallen) is when the spiritual dimension of the beast that was (the pagan Roman Empire) is fully reconstituted: for JP2 was the Roman king who proclaimed himself Dominus et Deus (Lord and God: Jesus Christ), just as the pagan Roman Emperor did. JP2 did so from the very beginning of his anti-pontificate. Thus, when five are fallen the beast in its full form rises (just as Apoc. 17:10 prophesies): in its political dimension (the EU) and in its spiritual dimension (with the king in Rome who claims to be Dominus et Deus, paralleling what happened in the Roman Empire).
