Pulitzer Center Calls Application for Travel Grant of $5000 The Pulitzer Center in collaboration with Internews is calling fellows for the Persephone Miel Fellowship program. Persephone Miel fellowship program is conducted for the media professionals outside of the United States. The basic purpose is to help fellows to do the reporting which they always wished and to make their work recognized at international level. The Pulitzer Center will provide travel grant of $5000 to short listed fellows for reporting project based on subjects relevant to global importance which have gone unnoticed in media. Payment is granted in two parts: 1. $2500 id granted before travel upon receipt of required materials. 2. Another $2500 will be granted after submitting principal work for broadcast/publication. The Persephone Miel fellow will visit Washington, DC before starting with the travel project. Fellow will meet center’s staff and will also involve in 2-days workshop. Eligibility Criteria: --English Fluency is a must. --Journalists, staff journalists, freelancers, writers, media professionals, photographers, radio producers, and filmmakers from outside U.S can apply. --Women and journalists from developing countries are a preferable choice. Selection Procedure Selection will be made on the basis of proposed topic and candidate’s previous work mentioned in its work sample.
