Trying not to swing your body, pull yourself up, contracting your lats, by placing your thumb directly over the bar, you will allow less use of the bicep and more of your back. Tempo is key to progression! I find that bending my knees, allows more control of my body and is beneficial if you are tall! Fry Fitness
