Pungent Point # 29 Dated 30 August 2014 MENE, MENE, TEKEL AND PARSIN King’s confession about power of God who don’t like proud even He humiliate pride (Daniel 4: 37) King Belshazzar, son of King Nebuchadnezzar knew from his father experience that God rules among human kingdom. You did not make yourself humble before living God, You consider highest in your own eyes( Dan 5: 22) even drink in cups of His temple, You acted against the Lord of heaven and brought in the cups and bowls taken from his Temple. You, your noblemen, your wives, and your concubines drank wine out of them and praised gods made of gold, silver, bronze, iron, wood, and stone—gods that cannot see or hear and that do not know anything. But you did not honor the God who determines whether you live or die and who controls everything you do. 24 That is why God has sent the hand to write these words. Your weight is too light because of your dead to use vessels of God in shameful manner among human to whom God had chosen for His house, you pollute image of those vessel of God for your power and pleasure. 25 And this is the writing that was inscribed: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. 26 This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and brought it to an end;27 TEKEL; thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting. 28 PERES; thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.
