Punjabi Film Industry & Culture: Punjabi Film Industry is just going through a revival. Stereotype column writers, intellectuals & so-called social thinkers seems to be eating an pie out of the efforts made by Punjabi singers by criticizing the movies & their content... Success of Bhalla, Ghuggi & Binnu Dhillon has given them some masala to find space in magazines, newspapers & TV channels Lets have a look at it - Babbu Manns Ekam was rich in content (on agriculture issues) thought he cannot match acting skills of Sharukh Khan or Aamir Khan Diljit Singhs Lions of Punjab (on water pollution by industry) went unheard Mikas Mitti & there are few more ... these movies never get applause & never gets business as audience is not interested in that....... & who will spent money on something which will not have good returns... THe comedy in recent Punjabi movies is far better & mostly non-vulgar in comparison to Hollywood or Bollywood comedy movies... My wish is to see Diljit Dosanjh in Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabhas role Jazzy B in roles of Sucha Soorma& Dulla Bhatti Guggu Gill as Hari Singh Nalua & many more.. Punjabi history is full of real life heroes & Im hopeful that sooner or later the trend will change & content of movies will change.. Dharmender & Subhash Ghai are making a Punjabi movie.. Akshay Kumar has already played a cameo Another wish is to see Raj Babbar & Dhiraj Kumar to re-enter this industry... In my opinion these folls must be hanged by toe till their nose starts blowing
