Puppy Fever took over the Shelter, as there was a line of people - TopicsExpress

Puppy Fever took over the Shelter, as there was a line of people waiting for the Shelter to open in order to adopt the Lab/Akita mix puppies. All FIVE remaining of the nine littermates were swooped up before the Shelter had been open an hour. We want to thank all the foster families that made this Pup-stravaganza possible. First and foremost, thank you to Stacey, who fostered the mom and all 9 of her pups. When they were old enough to wean, they were split into groups and fostered by Randi, Jess, Harper and Tracy. The last week before they could go back to the Shelter, my own personal thanks to my husband Shanti for letting us foster three of these adorable babies — truly, we only got a taste of what the other foster families were busy with! A hearty congratulations to all the families who adopted these fluffy angels; please keep us updated on these pups as they grow up! One other puppy was adopted — JAX, a Pit mix puppy. The Shelter still has one Pit mix puppy left: Chester. In non-puppy news, SPARKY, the 6-year-old Peke-Pug who was adopted a few weeks ago but then returned because it wasn’t working out… well, he went home with a retired couple. Their 15-year-old Pug had recently passed away, and they were looking for a new baby to love. They have no other pets, so Sparky will be spoiled with love for sure. And while we have your attention, a couple notes! NIBBLES begins his acting debut tomorrow 1/15 in the production of RENT! You can buy tickets at tftmtheatre The Shelter’s kennels currently house 16 Pit Bulls and Pit mixes. If you (our wonderful Facebook friends) know anyone looking to add some #pitlove to their lives, please let them know that adopting rather than shopping is the way to go! From 10-week-old puppy through 6 years old, in every possible color, it’s a Pit Parade at the Shelter. Pass it along!
