Purchasing & Supply Chain Co-ordinator - Roseberry Role based in Rosebery! Reporting to the General Manager, the Purchasing & Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for ordering of stock, import shipping document management, port clearance and assist with stock management. Other responsibilities are to organise freight of orders to the end consumer. You will be required to establish, maintain and develop strong working relationships with suppliers and customers over the phone. You will be solution and customer focused, always have act in a professional manner, be able to multi- task and be able to maintain quality and care with our suppliers and customers. The successful candidate will receive appropriate on the job training. More specifically, you will: • Ensure products are on hand, on time and in the required quantities to meet distribution requirements • Monitor usage, work with management with demand and forecasts and place orders with suppliers on a timely basis to ensure adequate supply is maintained while minimising stockholdings • Provide suppliers with forward forecasts as required, so lead times can be achieved • Monitor supplier delivery performance and ensure stock is on time, in line with specifications, invoiced at correct price and delivered in full to my client • Communicate with suppliers on an ongoing basis • Manage and communicate shipping and container related issues • Update CRM data base shipment information. • Manage import documentation and port clearance requirements. • Monitor container movement • Track import shipments and communicate issues. • Reconcile import shipment values with accounting each month • Follow up on all order enquiries from Customers, including outstanding orders or organising goods to be dispatched • Establish a culture of effective communication with customers to ensure that we inspire confidence • Coordinate outgoing deliveries with transport companies and customers • Schedule outgoing deliveries with efficient use of time and resources. • Manage relationships with local and interstate transport providers • Source best rates for most appropriate services from local and interstate transport companies. • Liase with customers after delivery to ensure SLA has been met and provide general after sales service and troubleshooting. • Reconcile invoices from transport providers to ensure jobs have been charged at the agreed rate. • Seek to lower supply chain costs while maintaining a high level of service. A little about you: We are looking for a person who can autonomously as well as part of a team to achieve results. You must have experience in a purchasing and or supply chain coordinator role in a retail/manufacturing environment. You must be resourceful, action orientated who can work cooperatively with all departments to achieve business goals. You will have a passion for purchasing and customer service. You will be well organised and will be able to multi-task and achieve all tasks in a timely manner. Key requirements: • You must have experience in a purchasing and or supply chain coordinator role in a retail/manufacturing environment. • You will have experience in import shipping document management and port clearance • Ensure products are on hand, on time and in the required quantities to meet distribution requirements • Enthusiastic and motivated and a team player • Excellent communication skills in written, oral and listening • Competence in the use of the Microsoft office suite • Experience in co-ordinating outgoing deliveries with transport companies and customers • Ability to manage high workload with conflicting demands • Strong administrative and time management skills • Clear, logical and lateral thinking skills A little about the Company: My client manufactures and retails furniture.
