Purple People: You may or may not have heard, an impromptu Train gathering has been planned for the weekend of May 2 in Mt. Dora. Since I initiated this (with Drew Toth’s cooperation), there has been little or no thought or planning. This was intentional as well as inevitable, since I can neither think nor plan. (You may get a hundred emails, or none at all –this is for no other reason than incompetence and or ineffectiveness on my part). Brenda and Pam are attempting to come to the rescue and help get the word out. What I know (which is very little): · Drew has arranged for a $99/night room rate at the Mission Inn Resort (link on Reunion FB Page). · On Saturday Night, there’s an all you can eat Surf and Turf buffet ($31pp). · The resort offers a golf course, spa, and exercise facilities. · Billy Dale AKA Nick Rails will perform at some point during the weekend (we hope to pepper this event with storytelling). · Pontoon Boat Outing Saturday for Lunch at Casual Waterside Café If you decide to come from out of town, you shouldn’t wait too long to make reservations, as room availability is limited (a little over 20 rooms are currently available for the May 2 weekend)
