Pushing End on a touchscreen just doesnt carry with it the same - TopicsExpress

Pushing End on a touchscreen just doesnt carry with it the same release of endorphins. Imagine the scene in Goodfellas in which Robert De Niro was in the phone booth and discovered Joe Pesci had been whacked. In the movie, De Niro goes into a supreme rant, beating the receiver multiple times against the payphone, in between looking at the receiver and shouting at it. He tried to commit murder through the phone line with his rage. Could that scene possibly have carried the same power or meaning if De Niro was sitting in the restaurant booth texting, then screaming at his phone and pushing one finger on the screen multiple times. Even throwing the phone would be weak. What do you do? Throw it, pick it up, talk at the little box the size of a cigarette pack, push it with your index finger a few times, maybe throw it again? Just doesnt convey the feeling. And, if you have to ask your parents what a phone booth, a pay phone or a receiver are, please move to the next Facebook story. This is not the wisdom you seek.
