Pushkar fair 2013 [09 November to 17 November], Rajasthan The Pushkar Fair, or Pushkar ka Mela, is held every year for five-day as the camel and livestock fair on the bank of Pushker Lake in the town of Pushkar , near Ajmer, located on the edge of the Thar Desert in the state of Rajasthan., India. . It is world’s largest Camel fair apart from selling and buying of livestock and also named as Pushkar Camel fair where around 50,000 of camel assembles for the fair. It starts from Kartik ekadashi and end on Kartik Poornima which is full moon day. For the Pushkar camel fair camels are washed clean and decorated with various colourful cloths, beads and jewelry for the competition. The most beautiful camel won the competition.
