Put on your thinking caps for this one: several Oakland Peace Center partners have dreamt about what we could accomplish if the huge kitchen were overhauled. The consensus seems to be--see if a kitchen equipment company would donate the equipment to create a kitchen where we could do all sorts of community-enriching things. (Like Whirlpool or Cuisinart or somebody...) SO: do YOU have a relationship with that kind of company, or have a concrete suggestion of who I can contact with that kind of ask? Im doing a couple of cold outreaches, but its really just grabbing around in the dark right now, so I thought Id ask my people. (OR: as Katie suggested below, are you connected to a very wealthy chef whod like to suit us up?)
