Put quality glass on whatever camera youre using, and youre going to get better results than using crappy glass. - Jared Polin I am getting a bunch of wildlife photos with just a 200mm lens. However, I got a 200mm f/2.8 prime lens with Canons L glass in it. I spent the money on that lens because it is a ninja. Especially on a 7D. Once I started to figure out the exposure triangle and dial in that lens around f/7.1 I could consistently get the shots I wanted of what I am looking at. I could also crop the shots down to just a couple of megapixels and retain much of the sharpness. The last couple of bird pictures are an example. The Titmouse is a tiny little bird and even at 15-20 feet away I really had to crop those shots. BUT, shoot in the center of the lens and set the auto focus to the center and voila ;) If you ever buy a Nikon or Canon DSLR remember its not just the camera. Its the camera, you, and the GLASS :)
