Put things back in perspective! It really did piss me off to see everyone slagging off Fat mike of NOFX for punching that idiot on stage at their Sydney show, but that video really shows some perspective. So called Punks made me laugh, insulting them and calling them sell out, etc etc for basically an act of self defence..Over the years I had mic stands knock off in my teeth, leads unplugged, instruments damaged by some drunken idiot deciding that its his right to just invade the stage and show no respect for the performance, the people, or the equipment. And guess what, when that selfish idiot end up breaking a £1000 Marshall head, or a £200 wireless or anything like that, who do you think end up paying for that??! mmmm let me think! Not even mentioning cases like the Dimebag incident, when things get a lot worse. Now, before you start getting back at me for saying all this, Im all for some wild craziness and rock n roll on stage, I love it more then anyone, but respect my space, and Ill respect yours. Become a threat, and so will I. Fair play. I saw NOFX in Belgium when i was a 17 years old punk carrying my blanket in a bin bag, sleeping rough after the show, and he got me up there, picked me up from the audience, gave me drums sticks, gave me beers and introduced me to the whole band after the show although I didnt speak a single word of english (I still dont some will argue haha).
