Putting out an odd request here because my usual sources have dried up. Its a long shot, but hey. Im looking for a really tiny musical keyboard and/ or a controller with knobs or sliders, and hardware MIDI out - ie, not just USB. Either full size MIDI ports - the round 5 pin socket about an inch across - or that old mini 8 pin round serial port about 1cm across marked Mac/PC. And by tiny I mean like the size of a pencil case or close to that. There are heaps of units around that size now, but they all use USB, and the thing I want to plug it into doesnt. Half-size kid size keys, one or two octaves tops, or something I can cut down to size if longer.. Also DC or battery powered. Some assignable MIDI control knobs or sliders would be a bonus too. Either built in, or on another similarly tiny thing.
