Päivän Jayananda (Inner Yoga by Janne Kontala): Surrender also - TopicsExpress

Päivän Jayananda (Inner Yoga by Janne Kontala): Surrender also includes offering ourselves and our time during our regular practice. We surrender by understanding and then meditating on the meaning of our mantra as it relates to the absolute and our relationship with him. He is that special person who is never touched by affliction nor influenced by karma, who is omniscient, outside the influence of time, and the first among all teachers. He is the controller and maintainer of everything and everyone, smaller than the smallest, greater than the greatest, outside all material con-ceptions, inconceivable, and luminous like the sun. He is far beyond the darkness of this material world. Surrender makes us fearless. Krishna later tells Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita (18.66), “Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender to me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear.” So surrender is trust. And when we steep ourselves in fearlessness mixed with love, and that love comes to the point of being uninterrupted, we’ve come to the end of the long yoga journey.
