Q - Tito ano po ang review nyo sa very new, now-showing movie EXODUS? A - The nuances of the movie, the impressions it could leave on uninformed auidences, could inspire or birth UNCONVENTIONAL, even SUBVERSIVE, THEOLOGY. The movie exercizes a lot of artistic license in its interpretation of the events recorded in the Bible and in its what seems to me a MISinterpretation and MISrepresentation of the God of the biblical Exodus. One needs solid biblical knowledge/foundation to NOT be led unawares into the movies interpretation of and point of view on the Exodus. I am concerned for audiences who will see this movie without solid knowledge of the actual verses that were supposed to be the source or inspiration of the script. I suspect that the movie could MISpresent God and carry subtle political or religous agenda that subverts/undermines the traditional spirit of the biblical account of Exodus. THAT IS WHY yesterday I WATCHED THE VERY FIRST METRO MANILA RUN OF THE MOVIE ---BECAUSE you PAMANGKINS MIGHT ASK about it. :-)
