Q. Assalamualaykum, how do you call shirk in jewish terminology? do you call Allah Rabb in your terminology? A. Wa aleikum salaam wa rahmatullah. In Rabbinic Judaism, Rav is used as an adjective meaning Great. It is used to describe Allah SWT but not as a name for Allah SWT. The hebrew equivalent of shirk is shituf which means partners and is used in the same way, i.e. the opposite of monotheism.
