Q. How big is the New Jerusalem? And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. (Revelation 21:16 KJV) So, the height, width, and depth are equal... 1 furlong = 660ft 12,000 furlongs = 7,920,000ft or 1,500 miles 1,500 X 1,500 = 2,250,000 square miles Now for some perspective... 1,500 miles is roughly the distance from New York City to Wichita, Kansas. Total area of the continental United States = 3,119,885 square miles. 2,250,000 / 3,119,885 = 0.721 So, the New Jerusalem, a SINGLE CITY, has a height of 1,500 miles and will occupy a land mass equal to 72% of the continental United States! Behold, he cometh with clouds; AND EVERY EYE SHALL SEE HIM, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. (Revelation 1:7 KJV) SIMPLY ASTONISHING!
