Q: How do you feel about being a FEMALE in a MALE dominated industry: A: I feel fabulous about it! I am a very fearless female, I truly believe that being female is not a hindrance to me in this occupation. Infact I think my female intuition, and instincts as a woman make me a more savvy horseman. I am very in tune with my horses. I am not saying men trainers arent but I think its an advantage to being a woman, it comes very naturally for me to understand each horse on a more personal level. Its a bad thing too, of course when theyre hurt or sick I think I take it more personal, and when one gets claimed its heart breaking for me. But, thats part of this sport I was well aware of before I started. But, for me knowing it can happen doesnt make those situations easier.
